Back in December I was invited back by Canon UK to help host their Christmas Instagram event in a rather large country house in deepest Kent in the UK.

We had a whole host of professional photographers, instagram influencers and a fair share of celebrities looking to improve their instagram photography.
I was running five different sets at once a couple of which are noted above. Assisted by my very able UK chef John Millar & prop stylist Lauren Miller.
It was a very different event to what I’m normally used to both shooting and teaching using continuous lights and a range of Canon’s latest offerings including 5d4 and the new tilt shift lenses.
Other options available on the night were portrait and light painting photography.
Head on over to Canon’s instagram page for video and more pictures of the event
A big thanks to Frankie and the amazing Canon team!
Cocktail season is upon us!! Another one of my favourite shots I took from the @canonuk #CanonXmasMeet this week! I loved this scene (so much so, that I pretty much shot it for 20mins barely looking up from the viewfinder)! What’s your favourite cocktail at Christmas??Thanks again to all the friendly Canon staff at the event for the welcome and teaching me new techniques. #MyCanon #canon#liveforthestory
ben_eatonwilliams Such a great evening of #christmas fun thanks to @canonuk at their #canonxmasmeet last week! ?
sophiagroves Pudding anyone? While i’m sitting at my laptop looking out at a flurry of snow, I thought it would be appropriate to continue the Christmas vibes with another shot from my evening with @canonuk at their #CanonXmasMeet last week
Had a blast last Wednesday at #CanonXmasmeet , learnt so much camera techniques which I had no idea about of course ?. Can you lots believe I only got a camera like a week ago ?! Usually the question that comes after that is, how the hell did you manage to blog all this time without a camera?!?! Well there are a few photographers to thank for that ??❤.
marthacollison?✨ 17 days to go! ✨?Perfect Christmassy evening earlier this week at the #CanonXmasMeet – I’ve still got so much to learn as a photographer but found it so fascinating to learn more about photography, both food and night-time shooting. So magical learning to capture long exposure shots of moving lights – and I even got my own festive portrait done! Thanks for a wonderful evening @canonuk.

seanweeklyphotography Another from the @canonuk #canonxmasmeet this was from the food photography shoot they laid on for us. I added some fairy lights to create a more festive scene.
